Training needs are based upon the requirements of the individual, essentially to bridge the gap between the capabilities displayed and those that are required. Training needs are identified based on regular work analysis by the immediate superior in consultation with the Head of the Department.
Periodic appraisals also help in identifying training needs both by the appraise and the appraiser. Training classes are conducted regularly by managers to the supervisory staffs regarding GMP and quality assurance. Since Employee productivity largely depends upon machine capacities, individual trainings are always focused on quality or GMP requirements. Training is given in four modules viz.,
Module I - Inducting Training
Module II- Periodical Review
Module III - Refreshment Programs
Module IV - Deputation to Technical Seminars
As and when new systems are adopted for new products to manufactured or improvement in standards are envisaged, if it is opined that external training can be of better assistance, then external training is provided. Also the managerial staffs are encouraged to attend quality oriented symposia. Since quality assurance is oriented to customer satisfaction, opportunities for regular interaction with marketing staff are provided.
Efficacy of training is assessed by quality of output and by questionnaires.
Retraining needs are identified based, once again on quality of performance and also every time a change is called for in standards, equipments, methodology or documentation.
